In July’s 2014 sectorial collective labor agreement renegotiation, entrepreneurs and unions agreed to introduce a new compulsory, automatic form of enrolment, starting from January 1st, 2015. This “contractual contribution” is entirely financed by employers, with a monthly dues from 8 to 16 euros, depending on worker’s pay grade.
The contractual dues cannot be paid to other retirement fund but Prevedi, because Prevedi is the only pension fund to which the collective labor agreement “CCNL Edili-Industria, Edili-Artigianato” provisions are effective. Only in Prevedi, both workers and their employers – to whom the supra-mentioned contracts are applicable - are represented in the pension fund bodies (Assembly, Board of directors).
For those who already were members on the 31st of December, 2014, the contractual dues will be added to the other traditional sources (1% of the gross monthly wage at the expense of the employer, 1% of the gross monthly wage at member’s expense, severance indemnity).
Member’s employer calculates contractual dues, which depends on actual working hours. Those hours include compulsory parental leaves (e.g. maternity leave), but exclude overtime, illness, unemployment insurance and discretionary compulsory parental leaves.
Member’s employer calculates contractual dues on a monthly basis, considering 14 months. For a month to be taken into account, at least 15 working day must be fulfilled.
Compulsory parental leaves are included, whereas overtime, on-the-job injury, illness, unpaid time off work, unemployment insurance and discretionary compulsory parental leaves are excluded in the calculation.
For those who already were members on the 31st of December, 2014, the contractual dues remains the only contribution to Prevedi until they decide to complete their membership, filling in the complete-subscription form. Otherwise, the membership will stay as a contractual enrolment.
Complete-contribution to Prevedi is really convenient. In fact, it will allow members to benefit of an additional contribution at the expense of the employer, in the amount of 1% of the gross monthly wage, if they choose to contribute to Prevedi another 1% at their own expense.
So, don’t give away this chance!
